"No one wants to die.
Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there."
Steve Jobs
No matter how true Steve Jobs' words are, everybody has to die and we can do nothing about it. There are only two people recorded in the Bible who didn't see death but were taken up to heaven--Enoch and Elijah.
"Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away." Gen. 5:24
"As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. Elisha saw this and cried out, "My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!" And Elisha saw him no more." 2 Kings 2:11-12
Although I'm not like Enoch or Elijah, I still dared to ask the Lord to allow me not to experience death but to be one among those He will take up to heaven when He comes again. Because of a dream He gave me in response to this prayer, I know that He may not grant my prayer unless everyone has been given the chance and is able to respond for salvation.
Still, there are some things we can somehow do to lengthen our lives until we are ready to die in old age--be healed and live well, which are God's will.

"Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it;
I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security."
Jeremiah 33:6
"Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard."
Isaiah. 58:8

Isaiah. 58:8
As I typed "healing" in Bible Gateway, I found some verses which reveal the following:
1. Healing is the will of God.
a. Jesus "went around ... healing all who were under the power of the devil." (Acts 10:38),
John 7:23
2. Healing comes from power coming from God.
"...and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all."
Luke 6:19
3. Healing is received in full when we believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
"I will keep on driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach my goal." Luke 13:32
"On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops
of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are
for the healing of the nations." Revelations. 22:2
4. Healing is for everyone who ...
a. reveres God's name. Malachi 4:2
b. follows Him, hears Him about His kingdom, and needs or wants healing. Luke 9:11
5. Healing may not be received when...
a. we have sinned and rebelled against God. Jeremiah 8:14-15, Jeremiah 14:7, 20
b. we have committed idolatry. Jeremiah 14:22
c. our guilt is so great and our sins are so many. Jeremiah 30:14
6. Healing can be received in many ways like
a. Through the help of some people who have been given the gifts of healing by the Holy
Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:9, 28
b. Through the "tongue of the wise," "a trustworthy envoy," "gracious words." Prov. 16:24
7. Healing draws crowds (hopefully to Jesus). John 6:2
8. Healing should be brought with the good news of the kingdom. Matt. 9:35, Luke 9:6,
Indeed, there are so many verses that would prove healing is the will of God. There are so many more that will speak about it, so may I encourage you to read for yourself the many promises of God regarding healing. Read and be informed. Increase your faith through reading the Word of God. Pray and be healed.
